The Open Window by H.H Munro(Saki)(1870-1916)

To me this story was quite interesting but I a bit confuse at the beginning of the story.I think the beginning was not suitable for the story.I like the character of  Framton. The part which was I think impressive while Framton told about the tragedy about the window three years ago. That was the writer sister's time. Her husband and her two young brothers went off for their day's shooting. They never come back.In crossing the moor to their favourite snipe-shooting ground they  were all three engulfed in a treacherous piece of bog.It had been that dreadful wet summer, and places that were safe in other years gave way suddenly without warning.Their bodies were never recovered.I felt fearful Framton said the window was kept open every evening till it quite dusk and he said he almost got a creepy feeling that they will all walk in through that window.I did not know who was Vera.I was shocked when he said teh doctor agree in ordering him complete rest,an absence of mental excitement.I guess he had a mental problem because of the tragedy. The part that I think interesting was in the deepening twilight three figures were walking across the lawn towards the window, they all carried guns under their arms, and one of them was additionally burdened with a white coat hung over his shoulders. This story to me was old story but not boring.I like at the end of the story.

Mango Moods by Reeta Mani

I like this story because it show how strong the women name Chitra.I like the character very much.Chitra had loose many people who was she love so much. However, she still be patient and continued her life.I did not like her mother- in- law character because to me she was selfish troublesome. She was so cruel. She cannot understand with Chitra condition.I am happy when Chitra had pregnant after eight years of marriage.Actually I did not know what was mean by Mangai pachadi but I think it was from the mangoes.I like the part which was about Chitra friend Jason.I become sad while Jason wanted got a lucrative job in the Gulf. That means he would leave Chitra. The more sad when Chitra had known her pregnancy after Jason had left their town.I hated Narayani amma very much when she refused Jason came to their home.I think she does not had a feelings.Chitra cannot meet her close friend, Usha because of that cruel women. She did not want forgave Chitra for that outrageous suggestion.I felt happy and excited while she was born her beautiful baby boy on a bright morning in May.I was expected that Chitra would meet her close friends Jason and Usha but definitely I wrong.

My Friend Luke(Fernando Sorrentino)

This story was full of the story about the writer friend name Luke.I did not like Luke's character because he was too shyest person and did not bother about people. He got a choleric wife.I think that not suitable for him.His wife had the personality of a lion tamer.I do not like the personality.Actually I did not not understand where were Luke working.Honestly his owner name was unic and funny.I think the personality of  Luke's with people who were close to him was not interesting.I like the part when Luke's was in the bus. When winter comes,Luke always travel with the window wide open.He had developed  chronic cough that often forces him to stay awake entire nights. That's be good if  he hates smoking but he should cover infront people who was smoking. He should know how to respect people. However,I did not like the part when Luke's sits at the back seat.It had five passengers there. He sits so as to allow room for only four or even tree people on the seat.He will become indignant  and reproach if he was standing up.That part show that Luke's was selfish. So I think Luke's should change his attitude to become a better husband, father, employee and bus passengers. He should be more friendly with other people.

All's Fair in Vietnam(Asean)by Noah Klinger

I like this story because I like the main character of the writer. She lived at Vietnam for a year.I'm not expect in Vietnam, the women swooned over an ivory complexion. The women wanted their skins a pearl-white,luminous and face like a moon.Actually I not understand what is khakis.I like the part when the writer talk about her duty. She always the one standing timidly in the patch of shade while everyone else strode through the broad sunlight. She was the one who endured the most horrific sunburns if she used sunblock that was weaker than SPF 50.While I read this story I do not like the Vietnamese girl because they willing to wear an assortment of covering, including hats, gloves and face-masks just because want to protect their skin from UV rays. They also waste their money went to spas for whitening.I agree with the writer when she said she see the women who had slathered themselves a bit too liberally with the products and the results. So to me the beautiful of face was not important because it become useless if the women have a bad attitude.Do not hurt our face just because of beautiful.
