The Open Window by H.H Munro(Saki)(1870-1916)
To me this story was quite interesting but I a bit confuse at the beginning of the story.I think the beginning was not suitable for the story.I like the character of Framton. The part which was I think impressive while Framton told about the tragedy about the window three years ago. That was the writer sister's time. Her husband and her two young brothers went off for their day's shooting. They never come back.In crossing the moor to their favourite snipe-shooting ground they were all three engulfed in a treacherous piece of bog.It had been that dreadful wet summer, and places that were safe in other years gave way suddenly without warning.Their bodies were never recovered.I felt fearful Framton said the window was kept open every evening till it quite dusk and he said he almost got a creepy feeling that they will all walk in through that window.I did not know who was Vera.I was shocked when he said teh doctor agree in ordering him complete rest,an absence of mental excitement.I guess he had a mental problem because of the tragedy. The part that I think interesting was in the deepening twilight three figures were walking across the lawn towards the window, they all carried guns under their arms, and one of them was additionally burdened with a white coat hung over his shoulders. This story to me was old story but not boring.I like at the end of the story.
